Why Release & Renew An IP Address?
When your home router connects to the internet, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) assigns an IP address to your router. This is the only device in your house that receives an IP address directly from your ISP. It’s also what’s known as your “public IP address”. Your router then assigns IP addresses to individual devices inside the home network, on its own sub-network. These usually follow a standard convention, like 192.168.0.X.
